When I graduated High School I got a job in a local supermarket. I gained valuable life experiences, developed a true work ethic, and I learned the importance of responding to customer needs and pleasing the public. That experience lasted 17 years. Throughout the years I attended college part time and finally got a degree. I began my real estate career in 1996.
The change to real estate was exciting and I worked hard to prove that I could be successful at something new. I built up quite a business and in 1999 I was successful in negotiating the purchase of the local RE/MAX real estate office. I sold that business in 2005 and stayed on a couple more years and really got back into working with buyers and sellers.
John & Rita Dutton, local developers, purchased land across from Belmont Hills Country Club and wanted to create a community of condominiums, patio homes. It was at this time that I decided I would open up a new real estate office to sell these properties.
As of March 2008 a new real estate office opened in St. Clairsville that we proudly call Sulek and Dutton Real Estate.

Peggy has been a Realtor since 2003, but she began her real estate career several years before that working as my assistant/office manager. I know that much of my early success in real estate is due to her skills in marketing, her hard work, and our friendship. After she became a Realtor she was accepting top honors both locally and on State levels. In most recent years Peggy has recorded annual sales numbers that place her in the top ten Realtors in Belmont County.

Larry has been a Realtor since 1999. He began his real estate career in another office and I was always impressed with his sales numbers. I also noticed that he did not seem to do much self promotion. As he became well known in the business I began to realize he knows everyone. Larry was a school teacher at Union Local High School. Everytime he talks about new clients, it seems he starts his sentence with either " I taught them in school" or " I taught there kids in school." He is certainly not just known by everyone, he is obviously well thought of by everyone. I most recent years he has annual sales numbers that place him in the top ten Realtors in Belmont County.

Maria has been a Realtor since 2004. I remember my first meeting with Maria. She was interviewing with me as a Broker and was anxious to become a Realtor. Maria was working through her 19th year for the Village of Powhatan Point and was looking to a change. Believe me, everybody knows Maria. Once someone meets Maria, they are her friend for life. She is a most compassionate person and it certainly shines through in her work with others. In 2007 Maria finished sales numbers that placed her as one of the top 10 Realtors in Belmont County.

Chris received his license to sell real estate earlier this year. As Chris begins the process of building his real estate career I can assure you he will be a success. He graduated college with a degree in Urban and Regional Planning and he is overseeing the infrastructure for "The Ridges of Olde Cumberland." Christopher is also very involved in the creation of the floor plans for many of the homes that will be built there.
